Local PDF preflight desk for macOS
Inspect the PDF.
Catch the expensive surprise.
Batch-check page boxes, mixed sizes, placed-image DPI, font resources, color spaces and transparency evidence before the file reaches the printer.
Inside the actual app
The PDF evidence stays inspectable.
The native app keeps the batch on the left, actual page evidence and preview in the center and every blocker, warning or unknown on the right. It never turns missing evidence into a silent pass.

Add the print PDFs
Open one or more local PDFs and keep the original files untouched while PressLint reads their page and resource structures.
Inspect the evidence
Review trim, bleed, crop and media boxes, mixed page sizes, image DPI, font resources, color spaces, masks and transparency clues.
Export the audit
Write JSON, Markdown and PDF reports plus a receipt and checksum manifest, then confirm the actual press requirements with the printer.
Focused by design
Useful depth.
No account clutter.
Page-box inspection
Compare MediaBox, TrimBox, BleedBox and CropBox dimensions page by page.
Effective image DPI
Measure placed raster dimensions against their rendered size instead of trusting file metadata alone.
Font-resource evidence
Record font resources and available embedding clues without claiming proof that the PDF does not expose.
Color and transparency clues
Surface image color spaces, ICC evidence, masks and graphics-state transparency for production review.
Honest severity model
Separate blockers, warnings, information and unknowns so a missing signal never becomes an automatic pass.

PressLint FAQ
What does PressLint inspect inside a PDF?+
The current MVP records page boxes and sizes, font resources and available embedding evidence, placed-image effective DPI, image color spaces, masks and transparency evidence.
Does PressLint repair the PDF?+
No. It inspects the selected source and writes a separate evidence set. It does not alter, color-convert, flatten or repair the original PDF.
Can it guarantee that a file is print compliant?+
No. PressLint is a local evidence and preflight tool, not a RIP or certification system. Printer requirements and a qualified production review remain the final gate.
Why can a finding say unknown?+
PDF evidence is not always explicit. PressLint reports unknown when it cannot prove a condition instead of silently marking the file as passed.
Can I inspect several PDFs?+
Yes. The batch desk keeps each selected PDF and its page-level findings visible while leaving every source untouched.
Does the PDF upload anywhere?+
No. Parsing, evidence collection, preview and report export run locally in the current Release build.
How much will PressLint cost?+
The price is US$29 as a one-time purchase for one Mac, with no subscription. Secure checkout and DMG delivery are handled by Polar.
